Budget travel to Lisbon

I have been dreaming about travelling to Lisbon since I have read a book “Night train to Lisbon” by Pascal Mercier.This book impressed me a lot.

Lisbon is a city of ocean wind that pleasantly cooling you. Smell of fresh and grilled fish. Cafes with tasty pastries and smell of coffee on every corner. Narrow streets that goes up and down. Old trams. Houses decorated with colourful tiles. It’s almost impossible not to fall in love with this amazing city….

I want to share my travel experience in Lisbon with you, thus I realize that there are plenty of stories about the Lisbon.

And I will write the budget of my travel here for those who are interested in.

My yesterday flight to Lisbon was rather late - I arrived at 22.30. I had flight by MAU airlines - I didn’t like it at all. If you have a choice - don’t use this airlines. I was surprised that there is no meal during the flight (that is not too short by the way, it takes 5 hours to get from Kiev to Lisbon). All what you can expect - is a free water on the MAU flights…

Today I decided to visit Belem district full of interesting places and museums. I took a bus 727 near the Rato metro station (fill the Viva card in advance, as there is no ticket machine on the bus and tram stations).

Today was exactly that kind of a day when a lot of things happened but there is not too much to write about. In the morning I departed for the walking, I didn’t have exact plan and decided to let things slide by their own.

There was my last full day in Lisbon (tomorrow I am going to Peniche to surf camp) and my first destination is National Pantheon. Mostly because of flea market that is held there every Tuesday and Saturday. I read that market is usually closed after midday but I was there around 3 pm and there were still many of the sellers.
